GitHub Stars into the local cache; iCloud user-data sync is not shipped

Purpose

Pull GitHub Stars into the local cache. iCloud sync for tags and notes is not shipped. Moving Macs means a manual backup.

Settings → Sync: Stars sync and background check (no cloud-sync switch)

How to use it

Toolbar sync: full pull the first time, then incremental / ETag. Getting Started asks for one tap. See Quickstart.

GitHub rate limits trigger backoff and a reset countdown. See FAQ · Sync.

Background checks may run when the OS allows (follow the app switch).

CloudKit / iCloud user-data sync is not available. JSON import/export is also coming soon.

Notes

Stars rebuild from GitHub. Tags, notes, and status stay local. CloudKit user-data sync is not shipped.
