Starcat is a macOS GitHub Star manager and AI knowledge tool: turn a flat starred list into a searchable, annotated library you can retrieve with AI / RAG.

Design principles

1. Local-first: tags, notes, and status stay on device; cross-device CloudKit user sync is not shipped yet.
2. Conservative AI: suggested tags / AI notes are written only after you confirm.
3. Stars ≠ knowledge base: starring and ingesting are independent.
4. Two channels: App Store vs Direct use separate data directories and entitlement flows.
