# List preferences

> Sort order, default filters, and languages of interest

## Overview

How lists sort, what they filter by default, and which languages appear in the pool affects your first view every time you open Manage.

These preferences may appear in:

* **Settings → General** and list-related items
* Sort and filter controls on the list toolbar itself

## Languages of interest

Language filter candidates often come from languages that actually appear in your Stars. You can also maintain a smaller “languages of interest” set to keep the dropdown manageable. See [Filters](/search/filters).

## Reset

If list behavior looks wrong, use **Reset list preferences** in [General settings](/settings/general).
