# Telemetry and diagnostics

> Anonymous telemetry off by default; diagnostic log export

## Anonymous telemetry

Path: **Settings → Diagnostics → Anonymous telemetry** (**off by default**).

### May include

* Event names: app launch, open Manage, run search, sync start/end, etc. (whitelist)
* App version, coarse bucket metrics

### Does not include

* GitHub username, Stars content
* Search terms, README, notes
* AI prompts / responses, API keys, local paths

Implementation uses a pipeline such as Aptabase; details follow the privacy policy.

## Diagnostic export

Export a diagnostics bundle from the menu for troubleshooting:

* Version and build number
* Database status summary
* Recent errors (redacted)
* Sync-related info
